Embarking On The Twitterx Journey

Twitter has never been my social media of choice. I’ve only ever gone on there because somehow celebrity drama always ends up on twitter and the fan accounts have all the gossip on it. This, however, is a way I have never thought to use twitter. When I saw that we would be using this platform for assistance with our research, to communicate with classmates, and to find new information; to be frank, I was skeptical. But with this first assignment, it has illuminated how this platform can be used in a more positive manner rather than just for celebrity drama. One person that I followed this week that I think could be really helpful is @DTSscholars, they post relevant information and new research about dogs but interesting facts to help owners as well as in advocacy for canines. With this interest, I tweeted about dog intelligence and how their bonds with humans have been created. The way dogs have developed physically and cognitively was surprising to me with owning 3 dogs and not realizing the process that is actually happening in their minds. I’m really looking forward to learning more about how domestication has effected dogs mental and physical composition and how they continue to change.
